A five year old changed everything.
It started with my son Flex. He's five, and like a lot of kids his age he became completely obsessed with Pokémon — the games, the TV show, and most of all, the cards. Watching his eyes light up every time he pulled something new from a pack took me straight back to being a kid myself in the late 90s, opening packs on the school playground and carefully filing cards into a binder.
I'd grown up with the original Wizards of the Coast sets — Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Team Rocket. Cards I remembered vividly but hadn't thought about in years. Flex reignited that passion completely.
"Watching my son discover Pokémon cards for the first time made me fall in love with them all over again."
I started picking up WOTC era cards — partly to share with Flex, partly because I genuinely loved hunting them down. And the more I handled them, the more I realised how much I'd learned about condition, authenticity and value. What started as a hobby quickly became something more.
Summit TCG was the natural next step. But if I'm being honest, it's about more than cards. I started this business for Flex. He's five years old and he deserves the best start in life I can give him. Building something real — something that grows — feels like the right way to do that.
We're based in Barrow-Upon-Humber, North Lincolnshire. I work full time alongside this, so progress is steady rather than overnight. But every card is handled personally, every listing is written honestly, and every order is packed with the same care I'd want if I were the buyer.
Flex still helps pick the best cards. He has strong opinions about Charizard. And every sale we make is one small step towards the future I'm building for him — a business I can run from home, on my own terms, with more time for the things that matter most.
Why Summit TCG?
The summit is where you get to after the climb. For collectors it's that final card that completes a set. For us it's the standard we hold every listing to — the top of the mountain, not a shortcut.
